The CP Canadian Holiday Train keeps rolling Westward and has welcomed the talent of County Music group Doc Walker to the line up of entertainment.
Surprising fans with their appearance at the December 5th Winnipeg show, Doc Walker came on the stage and performed two songs for the appreciative crowd.
CP was pleased to welcome to our stage the Winnipeg Harvest representative to receive the $5,000 donation to the food bank. The weather was a bit on the cold side, with a touch of light rain, but it wasn't nearly enough to dampen the spirits of the crowd.
The show in Portage La Prairie was a special one for Doc Walker, as this stop was in their home town. The crowd was loud and cheered their band. Miss Emily is delighted to be performing with the group, and she has labelled them as "hard working and excellent musicians."
Doc Walker was nominated as the 2012 Canadian Country Music (CCMA) 'Group of the Year' award, and were also nominated in the category of 'Album of the Year.' Doc Walker is a welcome addition to the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train line up.
