Warm fall-like temperatures and an early Saturday evening arrival time was all the Holiday Train needed to pull in a large crowd for the 2012 Hamilton event. Crowd estimates ranged from 6000 to 10000, but regardless of the actual number, everyone was in great spirits from when the Train pulled into it's location, right through to the last notes of "Silent Night."
Local resident Melissa Wrigley was moved by the huge turnout. "I am so touched to see so many people here. I am new to Hamilton, having moved here from the Toronto area, and the sense of community is unlike anything I've ever seen before. The Holiday Train is really something special."
