Thank you Lacolle for the warm welcome yesterday! The crowd of 1200 were exuberant as the Brothers Dube, Sydney Grigg and Kaylen Prescott took to the stage. The amazing fireworks display was a spectacular backdrop to our departure..these folks know how to throw a party!
Crossing the US boarder into NY we were greeted by a crowd of 1000 at the beautiful and historic Rouses Point train station. Ken Post led an emotional rendition of Silent Night that had the entire crowds participation. There were more than a couple teary eyes in the audience. Truly a magical moment to kick of the US leg of the 2011 Holiday Train.
We've traveled through the night and are now looking forward to our arrival in Scranton, PA. See you soon Steamtown!
